01 — Sizing & fit

From what age can I use the Bonding Carrier? From 3.5 kg (most newborns from day one) through approximately 24 months / 12 kg.

What's the adult size range? XS through 4XL — 32–58 inch chest. No extender belt required; the same carrier fits the full unisex adult range.

Can my partner and I share one carrier? Yes — no strap re-threading. Pull the side cords to your own chest-panel height and switch in about 8 seconds.

Does it fit postpartum bodies? +18 cm of stretch in the chest panel, fitting through roughly 14 weeks of recovery. Cleared by women's-health physiotherapists from day 1 (vaginal) / week 2 (c-section).

02 — Safety & certification

Is the M-position really different from other carriers? Most “ergonomic” carriers need manual positioning. The Bonding Carrier's seat panel is wide enough that the M-position is the default — gravity corrects a misplacement.

Is it certified hip-healthy? The pattern is reviewed by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI) and meets the AS/NZS 8005 soft-carrier standard.

Is the fabric safe? OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified — independently tested free of harmful substances, and EU REACH compliant.

03 — Wearing it day to day

Which carry positions can I use? Front inward (newborn and up), front-facing-out (around 6 months and up), and back carries — all with the same carrier. See the full How to Wear guide.

Can I breastfeed while wearing it? Yes. Loosen the side cords and lower the chest panel one position; re-tighten when you're done. Hands-free for both of you.

Is it too hot in summer? The single-layer woven panel breathes well. In warm weather, dress baby one layer lighter than you — your body heat counts as a layer — and keep carries shorter on hot days.

Can I wear it while travelling or flying? Yes. It folds flat into the included wash bag and is easy through security — many parents keep baby carried through the airport and on board.

Will it hurt my back? The straps load weight across your shoulders and upper back, not your lower back or pelvic floor. Keep baby high and snug (close enough to kiss) for the most comfortable carry.

04 — Cleaning & care

How do I wash it? Machine wash cold in the included mesh bag, then hang dry. Skip the dryer to protect the elastane stretch.

How long does it last? Tested through 200 wash cycles with no weave distortion, and backed for life against fabric failure or buckle defect.

05 — Shipping, returns & warranty

How fast does it ship? Dispatched within 24 hours, with free tracked shipping worldwide.

Which countries do you ship to? Australia, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada — each in its own currency, all with free tracked shipping.

What's the 30-night trial? Wear it for 30 nights. If you don't love the carry, start a return from your order confirmation or our contact page — a pre-paid label is in the box, and you'll get a full refund on the carrier.

My order arrived damaged or with an item missing — what now? Send a photo through our contact page within 14 days and we'll ship a replacement straight away.

What does “Backed for life” mean? After the trial, your carrier is warranted indefinitely against fabric failure or buckle defect. Send a photo and we'll send a replacement.

06 — Anything else

Are gift cards available? Yes — in $50, $100 and $150 denominations, delivered digitally the same day.
